Bows

I have very recently become totally disgusted with the high price of even the smallest hair bow. So I said "how hard could it be??" Well to answer that, harder then I thought. But you must remember I am not considered a crafty person I don't have the patients to be... I posted my latest hair bows that I attached to a bow holder that I also made. I think if I had planned to make the holder instead of using fabric I had lying around I would have been more satisfied with it's out come.

Christmas

Miller racked up, per usual. You can see him here surrounded by some of his gifts. If you'll notice this is his cell phone in my hand. Cameron and I had to explain to Miller that I was 19 when I got my 1st cell phone and Cameron was 27 when he got his. I think that this information made him sad for us rather then invoke responsible behavior.

Here we have Sophie modeling her new rain coat and boots. She was more excited then I was able to capture in this photo. She stated her new favorite comment, "Livia can't wait to get these!!" In this case she might be right.

I recently heard the greatest celebration of Christmas.

The idea is that your children receive THREE gifts on Christmas. Just like baby Jesus. I love this idea for many reasons. I am thinking of implementing this next year, to help us all keep in check what we are really celebrating on Christmas morning.

The day's before Christmas.

It has been a custom in the Harp house to allow the kids to open one gift on Christmas eve. To be more specific they are allowed to open a gift bought by the other. As you can see Sophie is very proud of her Candy Land and Miller is about to shoot something up!

We all had a great time seeing A Christmas Carol. The kids thought it was awesome to get dressed up and go to the fancy theater. Miller was pretty excited that our seats were in the 3rd row.

They all (Cameron included) requested that we make this more of a habit and do it at least every year.

Miller told Sophie that "she looked pretty but, kind of like an old lady" She was very sophisticated for a lady of only 3.

Cameron's Surgery

This is poor Cameron right after he came back from having surgery on his sinuses.

I thought he was holding up pretty well.

On closer examination we can see that Cameron is in a little "discomfort".
He's doing great now.

Zoo Trip

I really should have updated these sooner. The day after Thanksgiving we went to the Jacksonville Zoo.

The kids love it there.

Sophie is feeding a giraffe. Look at that tounge.

Miller was pooped and plopped down with the lions.

Sophie loves that carousel.

Miller wanted his picture with the tiger for uncle Chris.

Love notes and Christmas cards

So, Miller has been getting several love notes from the girls around here. I am a little nervous about how large those lipstick kisses are! How old is this girl?

Anyway we are not sure how long this one was taped to the garage door. I usually open the door when I turn on to the street so it is already open when I pull in the driveway.

I will let you know when we find out who this admirer is.

We put up our Christmas tree. Mostly do to Cameron's urging. Sophie was very excited.

Looking again at this picture I must reinterate that Soph was REALLY excited.

We tried to take our Christmas card photo. I'll tell you what, getting a good photo of two children is so much harder then only one.

We did finally get a good one.

I am not posting the picture we used for our Chirtsmas card. I wouldn't want to spoil the surprise.

Sophie looks so little!

I should make this picture black and white.......
